So I’m sitting here at the computer, dripping in sweat, legs feeling like jelly. But I’m pretty proud of myself. After doing my walk/run today, I am at the half way point. I have finished four weeks of couch to 5k! I still have such a long way to go, but I made it this far so I think I can do four more weeks. When I started, I figured I would last a week or two, maybe three, and then give up. Granted, there have been times when I thought I wouldn’t make it, but I stuck with it. The run intervals are up to 5 minutes now. To you seasoned runners, I know that’s nothing. But the first time I had to run 5 minutes, I thought I would die, lol. It’s hard to not look at the app to see how much time is left in each 5 minute interval. I find myself anxiously waiting for the friendly voice to say “begin walking”. I know the run intervals will continue to get longer, and I’m sure I will struggle with that. But, right now, I’m feeling energized! I made it half way!!
