So, it’s been quite a while since I have gone running. Once the majority of the kitchen renovation was done, and contractors were not here so often, I tried to get back into a running routine. However, my ankle started bothering me when I would run. It’s the inside of my right ankle. I was afraid of a major injury, so I stopped running. I have however, kept up with exercise. I’ve been walking. The ankle bothers me after I’ve walked, but it doesn’t bother me as much as when I was running. And, it’s not something that bothers me all the time. So, I’m a little confused about what’s going on with it. I’ve also been back on my exercise bike, which I haven’t done in a long time. I want to run, but I’m afraid of what might happen with the ankle.
I’ve also been upping my weights game a little. Trying to get weight work in a few times a week. It’s working! Funny story: Last year around this time, I told Adam that I would be able to do 5 pull-ups by Christmas. Lol. I failed! I may have been able to do one,lol. No upper body strength. So, now, I’m determined to increase my upper body strength. Yesterday, I did 2 pull-ups in a row! Now, that may not seem like a big deal to you,but it was huge for me! Better upper body strength will also help me manage Zeke better when he’s on the leash. He can easily take me for walks, and has. But, I notice a difference now. Getting stronger, a little at a time.
Generally, I’ve been feeling good. Making mostly better food choices. Regular exercise, ab work, weight work, and lots and lots of water. Life is so much better when you feel good!
