Hi. I’ve been writing this blog for a couple of years now, and thought maybe it’s time I introduce myself to some new followers, as well as re-introduce myself to those of you that have been here a while.
My name is Jannita. I celebrate a birthday this month, though I won’t share just how old that birthday will make me. I live in Michigan, where we are currently still searching for spring. The cold just won’t go away!
I have been married for almost 30 years, and I have 2 children, and 3 stepchildren. My stepchildren are all boys, grown, married, with kids of their own. My children are also boys. My oldest son just got married in January to the love of his life. And my youngest son will graduate from high school next month.
I worked for a lot of years as a school custodian at the school my children attended when they were younger. When my youngest moved on to high school, I moved on as well. I went back to working for myself, cleaning houses. I loved being my own boss, making my own schedule. But, after cleaning for so many years, I developed arthritis in my hands, and my doctor strongly advised finding something else to do. So, I gave up cleaning right before Christmas last year.
I had already been a Young Living member for a couple of years at that time. I fell head over heels in love with their products, their oils, their values, their commitment to quality. I had no intention of doing the business, it was not for me. I just wanted to keep using the amazing product line. These products are helping me ditch and switch toxic products out of our lives. It’s a process, but it’s so worth it.
But, as it frequently happens with us Young Living members, I had been sharing about these products and I had some friends and family members sign up with me. And, I still was not sure I wanted to do the business. I prayed about it, and asked God to show me a sign, let me know without a doubt, that the business is what I should be doing. And, after a few months, I got my sign, clear as clear can be. And so, here I am. Blogging and working my Young Living business.
I still love photography. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that photography is one of my passions. I still get my camera out on a pretty regular basis. I love to get photos of nature and the great outdoors. Macro photography is one of my faves!
I would love to travel around the country, maybe even the world, with my camera. There is so much out there to explore and photograph!
I work hard at staying healthy. I workout regularly with GHUTV. I try to eat a well balanced diet. But, I don’t deny myself a treat once in a while. Like birthday cake. Or a cookie or two. Or chocolate. I LOVE chocolate. My fave right now is Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt squares. Oh my!!
We have two dogs. A chocolate lab/whippet/pit mix that we rescued a few years ago. And a german shepherd puppy that will be one year old next month. They are awesome! Yes, even the puppy! He used to be quite a handful, but, with training, he has come a long way.
Well, there you have it. A brief look into my life. I hope that you will continue to hang out with me here. It’s so nice to have you here!
