My New Favorite

I love my diffusers! You can never have too many, right? 😂

Young Living just introduced the new Lantern Diffuser. It’s one of the new products that I ordered. It arrived a couple of days ago, and it’s my new favorite!

It’s so gorgeous! It looks like a lantern, and has beautiful metal and glass details! It has 3 different run modes. High mode runs for about 5 hours continuously. Low mode runs for about 8 hours continuously. And intermittent mode runs for about 10 hours, 1 minute on, 1 minute off.

There are 11 different light settings, including a candle-like flicker mode. I love that color-changing mode!

Young Living always amazes me!

Are you a part of the awesome Young Living community yet? If not, why not?

What Are You Reading?

So, there are so many new releases in books that I’m excited to read! I am about to finish an older book by Elin Hilderbrand that I somehow haven’t read yet, Nantucket Nights. It’s so good! I’ll finish it today, and then it’s on to her newest book, The Perfect Couple. Elin writes books that take place on Nantucket. A trip to Nantucket is on my bucket list because of all of her books. I can’t wait to visit all the places she writes about!

I’m also excited to read All We Ever Wanted, by Emily Giffin. She’s another favorite. Have you read any of her books?

Barbara Delinsky is another favorite. She has a new book out called Before and Again. That will be on my “to read” list.

Between You and Me by Susan Wiggs is another one that is on my “to read” list.

I believe next month there is a new Susan Mallery book coming out, When We Found Home.

Also, the second edition of Gameplan by Sarah Harnisch. Gameplan is an awesome resource for my Young Living business.

So much reading to do! Once our new patio is done, that’s probably where you will find me this summer.  With a good book, of course!

There’s More!

Yep! There’s still more new products to share with you. Let’s talk Savvy Minerals, shall we?

A Little Pick-Me-Up

It was a busy weekend! Very busy!

We hosted a graduation party for Adam on Saturday. It was a whole lot of work, but it was very nice! The food was great! Visiting with everyone that came was great! It was fun!

It was a struggle for Adam, with his misophonia, but I’m so grateful to him for humoring me and letting me give him a party!

Yesterday, I went to the Vintage Market at our local fairgrounds. That was fun, lots of walking. So many people have so much creative talent! I love it!

I also had a bridal shower to attend. It was so beautiful, and fun. I can’t wait for the wedding!

Our garage project is also moving along nicely! The framing crew was busy all weekend getting the framing up. They’ll be back today to hopefully finish up the framing.

This morning, I was dragging a bit. Just kind of worn out from a busy weekend, and busy days leading up to the weekend. I dropped some peppermint and orange essential oils into my favorite diffuser, the Desert Mist. It’s such an energizing combo, and gives me a little pep in my step. Definitely perks me right up!

Have you tried this combo yet?

Is It Wearing Off?

So, for the last few days, I’ve been feeling a tiny pinch of pain in my left arm. I only feel it when I move my arm away from my body. Physical therapy is going well. My shoulder is usually a little sore after therapy. I come home and ice it for a bit. I’ve been faithfully doing my exercises at home.

My physical therapist things it’s possible the cortisone shot is starting to wear off. I mentioned that it’s only been 4 weeks since I got the shot. She said some people only get relief for 2 days after the shot. So, I guess 4 weeks is good. Still, the fact that I’m feeling that little pinch of pain worries me some.

I go back to see the orthopedic surgeon next week for my follow up. We’ll see what he says. I’m hoping he doesn’t suggest another shot.

All in all, I have come a long way with this shoulder injury. I know the shots don’t last forever, and I’m grateful that the pain and discomfort I lived with for 2 months is gone. I’m hopeful that continued therapy and home exercises will help the fracture heal and that this little pinch of pain I’m feeling doesn’t get worse.

Do You Have One?

I recently went on the Environmental Working Group site. There’s a tab there where you can plug in your zip code and find out if your water contains any contaminants.

I was shocked to see that there are 8 contaminants detected that are above the health guidelines. Plus 11 other contaminants. This grosses me out! We use the tap water all day long, including for cooking. I drink water all day from the dispenser in the fridge. Yes, there is a filter in the fridge, and yes, we change it regularly. But, I’m sure it’s not filtering out everything that isn’t good for us.

So, I’ve been considering getting a Berkey water filter. I know a few people who have one, and they love them. I think it’s a great investment in our health!

We would probably get the Big Berkey along with a fluoride filter. I’m not sure where it would sit, as it would take up some counter space. I’ll have to figure that out. Maybe it could even sit in our new garage, it’s a possibility.

Do you have a Berkey? Do you love it?
