So, for the last few days, I’ve been feeling a tiny pinch of pain in my left arm. I only feel it when I move my arm away from my body. Physical therapy is going well. My shoulder is usually a little sore after therapy. I come home and ice it for a bit. I’ve been faithfully doing my exercises at home.
My physical therapist things it’s possible the cortisone shot is starting to wear off. I mentioned that it’s only been 4 weeks since I got the shot. She said some people only get relief for 2 days after the shot. So, I guess 4 weeks is good. Still, the fact that I’m feeling that little pinch of pain worries me some.
I go back to see the orthopedic surgeon next week for my follow up. We’ll see what he says. I’m hoping he doesn’t suggest another shot.
All in all, I have come a long way with this shoulder injury. I know the shots don’t last forever, and I’m grateful that the pain and discomfort I lived with for 2 months is gone. I’m hopeful that continued therapy and home exercises will help the fracture heal and that this little pinch of pain I’m feeling doesn’t get worse.
