Halloween

Halloween is just a few days away. Are you ready?

I have candy ready and waiting for the costumed kids that will come to our door. It’s always fun to see what costumes are popular, and I love seeing the creativity of homemade costumes.

We did not, however, carve pumpkins this year. We didn’t even buy any! But, that’s ok. We have some Halloween decor in the house, and that will suffice.

When I was much younger, I went to see the original Halloween movie when it came out. Yea, the original from 1978. It was pretty popular and I wanted to see it. Not gonna lie, it scared me! I probably had nightmares afterward, lol. The scene where Michael Myers puts a sheet on to look like a ghost and stands in the door way on the way to his next victim had me afraid to wake in the middle of the night and look to the doorway! Even the music is haunting!

I most likely won’t go see the new one, even though they say it’s as good as the first. We don’t really do movies too much anymore, unfortunately. Have you seen it?

It’s hard to believe that the end of October is here! But, we are chomping at the bit to get going on Christmas decorating. The Christmas decor just adds to the atmosphere of Thanksgiving. The decorating may happen on November 1st.

I love the holidays!
